As part of its heart failure education program, Sheridan Memorial Hospital will be holding a free drive-up Cholesterol Screening on Tuesday, October 6th from 9 to 11 am. Only a limited number of tests will be available that day – so the screening will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Individuals should drive up to the north side of the hospital – just outside of the cafeteria. They should remain in their vehicle and wear a face covering. The screening will involve a simple finger prick done by a health care professional. The results, indicating the person’s Total Cholesterol, will be available immediately and given to each individual, who can then take it to their healthcare provider.
This drive-by screening should not be confused with a Wellness Panel, which involves a blood draw and provides 29 different tests and including Cholesterol levels.
