Welcome to the The Path Behavioral Health Center, a new resource dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of our community. Currently located at 1401 W. 5th St., Suite A, Sheridan, WY 82801, our clinic offers compassionate, patient-driven care for individuals ages 13 and older.

Who we serve
We proudly serve individuals ages 13 and older in Sheridan and the surrounding areas. Referrals to our clinic may come through:
- An Emergency Department visit
- A physician’s request during an inpatient stay
- Your primary care provider
- Your therapists

Led by Dr. Michael Kinney, a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in adult psychiatry and addiction medicine, our dedicated staff brings expertise, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to every interaction. We work collaboratively to improve outcomes and empower our patients.

Looking Ahead: The Path Behavioral Health Center – Phased Opening Begins July 2026
To further address the growing mental health needs in our region, Sheridan Memorial Hospital is developing a The Path Behavioral Health Center. The facility will open in a phased approach beginning in mid-July 2026. The outpatient clinic has moved to the new space as of July 13, 2026. Crisis stabilization is expected to open later this year, with inpatient services anticipated later in late 2026.
This transformative facility will include:
- Outpatient psychiatric care: Integrated outpatient behavioral health services
- Crisis stabilization: A dedicated area for short-term stabilization and support.
- Inpatient psychiatric care: Six adult beds and two pediatric beds to provide comprehensive care.
This unit will provide integrated healthcare focused on keeping individuals in the community as they receive psychiatric care.
