Wear Pink Day

October 14, 2019

The 11th annual Link – Partners in Pink is almost here! Celebrate with us by making sure you’re registered for the October 19th run/walk, and show your support by wearing YOUR pink during our community wide “WEAR PINK” day Friday October 18th.

The 11th annual Link – Partners in Pink is almost here! It is the mission of our Pink Partners to ensure our community knows cancer screening and early detection saves lives. The Link features a 10K run, 5K run/walk and a 1.5-mile walk. All proceeds raised remain in our community to support cancer screening and prevention programs at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

To make sure everyone is fully aware and prepared, Sheridan Memorial Hospital also designated this Friday, October 18th as WEAR PINK day – “We encourage everybody to ‘put on their PINK’ on Friday, October 18th in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. This is a fun opportunity for everyone, from kids to adults, to wear pink to school, work and play that day,” according to Ada Kirven, Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation Director of Donor Relations.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many businesses are decorated in pink. We have banners, posters and billboards up to support the cause – now it’s your turn to show support and get involved by wearing PINK on Friday.

The Foundation will accept registrations all the way up until the morning of the race, but encourages all racers to get their information entered today! Register online or print a PDF registration form and return it to the Foundation.
