About
Dr. Daniel L. Peterson specializes in total ankle replacement, foot and ankle arthritis, Charcot reconstruction with external fixation, ankle arthroscopy, bunion and hammertoe correction, foot and ankle fractures, sports injuries and flatfoot deformity.
He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Brigham Young University – Idaho in 2011 and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2015. Dr. Peterson completed his residency at Detroit Medical Center in 2018 and pursued advanced training through a fellowship at North Jersey Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship in 2019. He is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners.
Dr. Peterson is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Originally from Cheyenne, WY, Dr. Peterson has traveled across the country to gain experience and education. After serving as a Spanish-speaking service missionary in Connecticut for two years, he continued his studies and medical training. He practiced in Albuquerque, NM for four years after completing his fellowship.
Dr. Peterson enjoys running, playing the piano and organ, disc golfing, and spending time with his wife and two children.
