August 16, 2018 "The 2nd Annual Rex Martin Memorial Community Raffle Raises $1,500 for Hospital’s Cardiac Care Programs "
Thursday, August 16th, at Sheridan’s 3rd Thursday, the Rex Martin Memorial Raffle concluded with a celebration and drawing for the prizes donated by many local businesses. Ryan Martin, Rex’s son, organized the 2nd Annual effort, which included members of his family and many community friends. All proceeds will be given in Memory of Rex Martin to benefit cardiac care programs at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
July 9, 2018 "The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation Hosts a Successful Hole-in-One-for-Healthcare Golf Tournament"
On Friday, July 6, 136 golfers along with hospital volunteers gathered at The Powder Horn to raise awareness and funds for patient care programs at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. The Foundation’s 9th
Annual Golf Tournament was held on a hot day, but the golf, friendship and support for our Hospital made it all worth the effort.
February 20, 2018 "Griffith Foundation Pledges $400,000 for Hospital's MRI Suite"
The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation has received a $400,000 gift from the Vernon and Rowena Griffith Foundation for the upcoming MRI Suite and Equipment project. Plans for the new suite are underway, and the additional renovation and updated equipment will enable the hospital to meet expanding diagnostic care needs for the community and region.
May 11, 2017 "Sheridan College Athletes Give Back to Our Community"

Yesterday, members of the Sheridan College Basketball program delivered a $1,000 check to the Welch Cancer Center (WCC) for the Patient Comfort Care Program. The funds were raised earlier in the year at a 2017 3 Point Challenge Basketball Game.
June 5, 2017 "Welch Cancer Center Garden: AmeriCorps Volunteers Build Pathways"
Today four Volunteers gave up their morning off to help rebuild the pathways in the Welch Cancer Center Garden.
November 4, 2016 “Dining for a Cause”
Today the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation and Hospital staff, along with members of The Partners in Pink
Committee met up with the Wyoming Community Foundation, Frackelton’s and Kim Love to receive the proceeds from Monday’s Dining for a Cause. The lunch and dinner event raised $12,886 for the project. In addition, the Foundation also received $25,500 in matching community gifts for a total raised of $38,386.
August 4, 2016 “Sheridan’s Cancer Shootout Benefits Welch Cancer Center”
Earlier this week, Sheridan community member Barbara Hodgson presented the proceeds of the 2016 Cancer Shootout trapshooting event to the Welch Cancer Center staff stating, “This year’s event was very successful with 40 participants. On behalf of the participants and our sponsors, I’m extremely proud to present this $2,000 check to the Welch Cancer Center.
Drive for a Cause - This year’s July 2016 event had a record number of golfers join us for a beautiful day on the links – and all tournament proceeds went to benefit the new Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
February 26, 2016 ”Hospital Auxiliary gives $50,000 to Sheridan Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit Project”
The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presented donations totaling $50,000 to the hospital at its annual meeting today at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. With today’s gift, the Auxiliary surpassed the half million mark with nearly $550,000 in total giving since 1991.
January 13, 2016 “Hospital’s ICU Project Receives Funding”
On Wednesday, January 13, 2016, the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation presented the Hospital’s Board of Trustees and CEO Mike McCafferty with contributions toward the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) expansion project of $1.5 million.
According to Ada Kirven, SMH Foundation Executive Director, “We are proud to present this significant gift to Sheridan Memorial Hospital today. The Foundation has actively collected donations for the ICU Project for some time.
