Three-Point Contest
Male & Female Divisions
6th Grade and Older
- Qualifying rounds between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday May 30th, 2009.
- $5.00 per qualifying attempt.
- Top three qualifiers in each division will advance.
- Championship Rounds for All Divisions will be Championship Rounds for all divisions will be Sunday at NOON until finished!
- Cash & Prizes will be awarded!!
Pre-Event BBQ & Registration Information
- Whitney Plaza ~ behind Sheridan Commercial
- Friday night May 29th from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
- At least one team member from each team must check in to pick up GAME SCHEDULES AND T-SHIRTS.
- BBQ at 6 p.m.
- Friday Night – PLAYERS EAT FOR FREE.
- Others in attendance can eat at the cost of $5.00 per meal
Team Guidelines & Rules
- 9th Annual Tournament is limited to 180 Teams Register Early!
- A complete list of all game rules should be obtained by your team representative when he/she attends the pre-event packet pick-up.
Player Registration
- Each team consists of three to five players, three players participating and two substitutes. Players can only be on one team.
- Once play begins on Saturday, there will be NO ROSTER CHANGES.
Co-ed Teams
- Co-Ed Teams will be allowed through 5th grade. Girls may play on boys' teams only.
Youth Division
- If your team members span more than one grade level, you will be flighted into the oldest team member's division.
- In instances where there are less than four teams
in a grade division, your team will be flighted one division up.
Adult Division
- If your team members span more than one age bracket, you will be flighted into the youngest team member's division.
Game Duration
- Games are played to 16 points or for 25 minutes.
- Each team is allowed three 45-second time-outs.
Scoring
- Baskets scored within the arc count as one point. Baskets scored beyond
the arc count as two points. Ball changes possession after each basket.
- Each team must provide assistance with flip scores.
Conduct
- Our Focus is Competition & Fun!
- All games will consist of a referee and a court monitor to officiate the contest. Players are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.
- We reserve the right to eject any team or player for improper conduct.
Weather Policy
Adverse weather conditions may result in:
- Delay of games and/or moving games to another court.
- Reduce the number of points required to win.
- Move to an indoor site.
- Reschedule the tournament for another date.
- Canceling the tournament. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the
tournament due to adverse weather conditions, each team will receive
their player T-shirt and team registration packet. Under no circum- stances will your team receive a full cash refund of the entry fee.
Registration Fees
- Entry fee of $200 per adult team or $150 per youth team must accompany your registration form.
- Teams can have 3-5 players.
- Players can only participate on one team.
- Fee includes t-shirts for your team and 4 games over a 2 day period.
