As part of the Foundation Partner Program, Amy Turpin and Nancy Hooge continue to stay dedicated not only to their many years of work here at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, but to philanthropy as well. Both Turpin and Hooge are currently RN Clinical Nurse Educators and expressed how they love to share their knowledge and see positive differences happening in the clinical setting. Both women are very committed to making a difference and teaching others in the hospital to focus on patient safety, quality and teamwork.
Joining the partner program was almost a given for the two, as both Turpin and Hooge enjoy participating in philanthropy and helping with a good cause. Hooge loves the arrangement of the Partner Program because being able to see what it is that the partners have contributed to is a huge motivator. Seeing the tangible part that this program has accomplished such as changes towards the Emergency Department, Nutritional Services and Cafeteria, Digital Mammography and the planned expansion of the Intensive Care Unit shows just how effective the Partner program is. Amy Turpin and Nancy Hooge are both quite proud of the accomplishments of this program and Turpin states “I am looking forward to our continued focus on quality, safety, teamwork, and a culture of kindness. We are onto good things!” Even small contributions from employees can help develop this hospital into a comfortable and suitable environment for all.
