Foundation Gifts may be made by:
Donor Recognition
Donors are recognized in Foundation publications. When a donor's cumulative gifts reach $1,000, $10,000 or $25,000 the donor's name (or memorial name) is engraved on a plaque and placed on the Wall of Honor near the entrance of the hospital.
Tributes and Memorials
Donors may establish a lasting memorial or tribute for a friend, loved one, or business associate. The Foundation will accept honor/memorial gifts in any amount and will establish a permanent memorial or tribute in honor of that person.
Giving
There are many ways to help in the Foundation Mission, all of which are tax-deductible in accordance with section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
- Cash: Donors may make a cash gift outright or pledge a specific amount over time to support a specific project.
- Stocks and Bonds: Stocks, bonds or other forms of securities which have appreciated in value are a common type of donation. Tax advantages make them a highly attractive contribution.
- Life Insurance: A policy can be assigned to the Foundation whether it is paid up, partially paid up, or is a new policy.
- Gifts Through Your Will: You can make a bequest to the Foundation in your will or may leave your assets in Trust, assigning the income to your beneficiaries and the principal to the Foundation. In either case, you will help insure a healthy future for generations.
Donations are placed in various categories, depending on a donor’s request and 100% of the gift is used for its intended purpose. Giving options may include, but are not limited to:
UNRESTRICTED FUNDS: To be used for any purpose as determined by the Foundation Board of Directors.
RESTRICTED FUNDS: To be used only in the area specified by the donor for example: Welch Cancer Center, Cardiac Care, Intensive Care Unit, Dialysis, Diabetes Education, Hospice of the Big Horns, and others.
ENDOWMENT FUNDS: The principal of the donation is kept intact, and only interest is expended.
