For over 100 years, Sheridan Memorial Hospital has been serving our community. Licensed for 88 beds, Sheridan Memorial Hospital is a progressive, state-of-the-art facility located along the valley of the eastern slope of the Big Horn Mountains in beautiful Sheridan, Wyoming.
With sophisticated technology and services beyond what one might expect in a hospital this size, patients can take comfort in knowing they are receiving high quality care. Our patient satisfaction surveys tell us that we are providing exemplary service to our patients and their families. We are proud of our more than 400 experienced and caring employees. Over 45 physicians provide primary medical care and specialty care in more than 15 areas.
Our mission statement although concise is very meaningful.
First, "to lead" states very clearly that Sheridan Memorial Hospital exists to set the tone for healthcare in the Sheridan area; the organization will be forward thinking and set direction for the future.
Second, it implies that Sheridan Memorial Hospital not only exists to provide healthcare, but also to support healthcare as ordered by our physician partners. This is an important distinction as the hospital recognizes that it exists in an environment of collaboration and partnership and would not be able to exist solely upon its own merits.
Third, the mission refers to quality healthcare. Quality healthcare represents both clinical and service excellence, leading to patient and family member experiences that will build confidence and help us achieve our vision.
Our vision is a simple statement of desire.
We want to create a reputation both as an organization and a collaborating community of healthcare providers that puts us foremost on people's minds when they consider healthcare for themselves and their families. Notice we say, "they think of Sheridan;" this means they don't just think of the hospital, but all Sheridan providers with whom we partner to take care of our community's healthcare needs.
